Dare To Lead™ Workshops & Coaching

Building Authentic and Courageous Leaders

Building Braver Cultures in the Workplace

Dare to Lead Logo
Dare to Lead Workshops

We offer the Dare to Lead™ program created by Brené Brown to assist individuals and organizations in fostering growth and developing a more courageous workplace. The most significant finding from Brown’s research is that courage is a collection of four skill sets that are teachable, measurable, and observable. Those skills include:

Rumbling with Vulnerability – Learning how vulnerability impacts us at work

Leaning Into Our Values – Getting clear on our values and the behaviors that represent them

Braving Trust – Understanding what builds and what diminishes trust

Learning to Rise – Building resilience for when we fail

We build braver cultures by working with organizations to align leaders and teams around the language and skill sets provided in Dare to Lead™.

The power in the Dare to Lead program is discovering that we are not alone

According to the research, we all struggle with many of the same challenges that decrease our own and others confidence and courage at work.

  • Leadership being about position and status
  • Leaders needing to be right
  • Reactively leading
  • Managing using shame and blame
  • Fostering a scarcity-driven culture
  • Professing vs practicing values
  • Driving a “fitting in” culture
  • Leading for compliance and control
  • Struggling with hard conversations
  • Resisting change
  • Getting stuck in and owned by failures
  • Trust is undefined and expected
Let us work with you to learn how to build grounded confidence and the courage to meet those challenges in our Dare to Lead™ Workshops and Programs.

“Courage is contagious. To scale daring leadership and build courage in teams and organizations, we have to cultivate a culture in which brave work, tough conversations, and whole hearts are the expectation, and armor is not necessary or rewarded.”

What is it like to participate in a
Dare to Lead™ workshop?

Here is what some of the participants have shared in their evaluations after participating:

Dare to Lead™ Individual and Team or Group Coaching
Workshops

“I was concerned about doing the work virtually, but the use of chat and the breakout sessions made the group of 60+ feel small and safe. We had great conversations that were very insightful and thought-provoking.”

“I like the quality of the materials and the presenters, Debbie and Randy. The breakouts helped me understand that I was not alone and that my peers struggle with the same things that I do!”

“It was good to hear about the work from Brené in the videos and Debbie was good at getting everyone involved, even in our large group. Her attitude, inclusiveness, and ability to connect with us enabled us to open up and have hard conversations with each other”

“I really appreciated the breakout conversations; we had some good moments of reflection. Given that it was remote, the facilitators did a great job, the time flew by. I loved the different teaching methods, with videos, voiceovers, and small group breakouts. It kept it engaging and participatory for all.”

Dare to Lead Teams

Teams

“I was excited that the team was engaged and that everyone participated. Multiple viewpoints came together to illustrate that even though we are all different and communicate
differently, we are all working toward being exceptional in our work and as individuals.”

“Good synthesis of a complex topic with effective facilitation, good materials and effective use of tech to support the class”

“I especially liked the post-it note approach to answering the hard questions. I think it allowed for more honesty” There were good conversations, and the people who don’t usually share their thoughts did!”

Dare to Lead Individuals

Individuals

“I appreciate the time spent on my personal development, and I like it that Debbie works through the exercises and shares her experiences with me”

“It’s fantastic – each week, we work through a chapter, and I find that I can easily apply it and practice at work. In addition, it always makes our discussions richer the following week. The Dare to Lead coaching has been a powerful learning experience for me”

“This is my first introduction to Brené Brown’s work, and I’m inspired! I look forward to my weekly sessions, and I have already started to use some of the techniques I have learned.
